Thank you, Kitimat!

It is my pleasure to present to you the District of Kitimat’s 2023 annual report.

Our community has been in a major transition over the past number of years, as we experience the largest private investment in Canadian history, the construction of the LNG Canada project.

It’s not the first time Kitimat has made the history books for the same, as it was the case for the Alcan construction so many years ago.

For our community and the municipality, this time of transition means using the opportunity to look closely at our long-term plans, managing our assets to support these new developments and the people who will come to support it, and preparing for further, cycles of economic development.

To everyone in Kitimat, I offer my thanks for making this a wonderful community in this time of growth and change.
