Development Variance Permit Application - 143 Sturgeon St

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Development Variance Permit is to reduce the setback requirements for the purposes of constructing a shop in the G3-A Greenbelt zone. G3-A zoning requires a 9 metre setback from the rear property line. The applicant has requested a reduction to 3 metres for the rear setback.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

A copy of this development variance permit application and proposed permit will be available for review

on the Districts website at www.kitimat.ca/municipal-office/news-and-notices or the District of Kitimat Municipal Office, 270 City Centre, 8:30 am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays starting on May 4, 2026.


PROVIDING COMMENT:

Comments and feedback must be received before 12:00 pm on May 19th, 2026, to be provided for Council consideration. All submissions for this Notice will become part of the public record and made available for public inspection at the District of Kitimat office. We welcome your attendance at the May 19th, 2026, Council Meeting to receive comments submitted after 12:00 pm.
