Development Variance Permit Application - 240 Chinook

PURPOSE:

The applicant is proposing a setback variance from the requirements of the applicable G3-A zoning, reducing the required side yard setback from 4.5 metres to 2.0 metres and reducing the rear yard setback from 9.0 metres to 2.0 metres. The proposed variance would allow the applicant to construct a 195 m2 (2099 ft 2 ) greenhouse closer to the side and rear property lines than is currently permitted.

This DVP application is available for review at www.kitimat.ca/pn or the District of Kitimat Municipal Office, 270 City Centre, 8:30 am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. The application will be considered by Council on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, during the Regular Council Meeting at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers at 606 Mountainview Square.

Comments and feedback must be received before 12:00pm on November 3rd, 2025, to be provided for Council consideration.
