Notice of Temporary Use Permit 2150 Forest Avenue

PURPOSE

The purpose of the application is to allow for renewal of a previously issued TUP that permitted a mobile concrete batch plant (TUP 02-2022) at 2150 Forest Avenue.Under the Local Government Act, TUPs may be issued for a maximum of three years and may be renewed once for up to an additional three years. The applicant is requesting a renewal of TUP 02-2022 for an additional three years.

The Kitimat Official Community Plan (OCP) permits temporary uses in all Industrial M-Zones. The subject property is zoned M3 Maintenance Depot Zone in the Kitimat Municipal Code (KMC). The M3 zone indicates that temporary uses are permitted in accordance with Part 9, Division 8 of the KMC. Division 8 includes the processing of natural materials as a permitted temporary use for industrial zones.

Comments on this application received by 12:00 pm on Monday, August 18, 2025 will be forwarded to Council as supplemental agenda information. We welcome your attendance at the August 18, 2025 Council meeting to receive comments submitted after 12:00 pm.
