The vision advancing a future Kitimat Spray Park continues!

Council received and approved a report at their September 9 meeting outlining the designs submitted by our spray park equipment vendor. The design features ocean-themed structures which the public shared was their preferred theme for the park in earlier surveys. The site layout also includes plans for renovation of the Lions Park playground, and the addition of a public washroom and changeroom.

Work this year has focused on engineering studies and design considerations, while consideration of the construction budget will be included in the 2026 budget deliberations.
