The delay is nearly over for the demolition of the District-owned buildings at Nechako Centre.

Work to demolish 110-139 & 143 Nechako Centre was put on hold by the contractor following engineering-related concerns at the buildings. After working through a new work plan with WorkSafeBC, the project can resume very soon.

The public can expect to see fencing and traffic changes in the Nechako Centre parking lot from May 14 until early June when the demolition is expected to be complete.

During this project portions of the parking lot will be inaccessible to the public. There will still be some limited parking and a traffic turnaround in the parking lot directly next to the Sk8 Park.
